Creative information project calls on to say, “YES TO WIND POWER”

The unusual information project “YES TO WIND POWER”, created thanks to the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE), initially set the aim to raise awareness of wind power among the Spanish public.

However, over time the initiative has grown into an international project that aims to raise awareness of the social, environmental and economic benefits of wind power.

The initiative also aims to combat negative stereotypes, such as high cost of electricity from wind, by proving a greater economic benefit compared to the traditional energy sources.

The Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE), Wind Power Association of Catalonia (EolicCat), as well as the world famous brands of wind turbines manufacturers (Vestas, Gamesa, Siemens, Bora Wind, Enercon, Fundacion CIRCE, GES, Ereda, ACCIONA Windpower, and others) actively support this project . And the number of supporter continues to increase, incorporating companies and associations from the energy sector and beyond.

Nowadays the youth resource is available in 6 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian and Polish.

At this resource, anyone can get information about the benefits of using wind power as a source of energy (reports, studies and thematic video), as well as express their opinions using the built-in functions.

The founders believe: “Wind power is an important alternative, as much today as in the future. That's why we want to start now, creating a movement that inspires change.”
