Announcement of the open bidding for organization and conduct of training workshops

As of now, the Bid documentation to conduct an open bidding procedure to select a Consultant for the organization and conduct of training workshops in two European countries with a highly developed wind energy sector has been prepared and posted on the website icetrade.by.

Brief information about the project.

In accordance with the resolution of the Council of Ministers on 18 December 2014 № 1189 “On approval of international technical assistance projects”, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus with the assistance of the UN Development Programme are implementing the international technical assistance project “Removing Barriers to Wind Power Development in Belarus” (hereinafter – the Project). The Project is financed by the Global Environment Facility.

The Project aims to remove barriers to wind power development in Belarus and construct wind power turbines with a total capacity of at least 25 MW.

The works and services required during the competitive bidding procedure are a part of the international technical assistance project “Removing Barriers to Wind Power Development in Belarus” and are defined by the Terms of Reference for the Organisation and conduct of training workshops in at least two European countries with a highly developed wind energy sector.

The purpose of hiring a Consultant is to implement the programme of training and raising awareness of the government officials involved in the decision-making in the wind energy sector.



Consultant's objectives will be the following:

● Preparation of a detailed programme of a 3-day training (including lectures, presentations and on-site visits) and raising awareness of the issues of wind power development. The implementation of the programme of training and raising awareness in Spain (the province of Navarre) (or another country proposed by the Consultant and approved by the Client);

● Preparation of a detailed programme of a 3-day training (including lectures, presentations and on-site visits) and raising awareness of the issues of wind power development.  The implementation of the programme of training and raising awareness in Austria (Federal Land Burgenland) (or another country proposed by the Consultant and approved by the Client).
