The training of specialists within the framework of the project is aimed at increasing the technical potential of local specialized engineering and consulting companies in the field of site selection, design, installation of wind power equipment.
The training in a windPRO software product was conducted on the basis of the Republican Center for State Environmental Expert Review and Advanced Training of the Ministry of Natural Resources during the period from May 15 to May 18, 2017. According to a list, 13 students are enrolled in the group of trainees - they are specialists in the field of renewable energy and ecology, including representatives of SI "The Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Control of Radioactive Pollution and Environmental Monitoring", The Republican Unitary Enterprise "Belenergosetproekt", ALC "ENECA", FLLC "Vireo Energy", SPLLC "Small Energy", LLC "EcoTECH" , CJSC "Avanta & K", CJSC "GreenAir", LLC "Light Solutions".
Highly professional specialists of the Danish company EMD were involved in the training (the developer of the windPRO software product).
windPRO is a software package based on a modular system that is designed to develop projects and planning both individual wind mills and large wind farms. The windPRO package was created taking into account 25 years of experience in the development of convenient software tools for the integrated development of projects in the field of wind power.
The windPRO software product contains the modules necessary for the development of project documentation, including a feasibility study (a comparative analysis of possible technical solutions, site selection, assessment of the connectivity to the existing grid and subsequent impact on the network, etc.), environmental impact assessment (noise impact , flicker and visual impact zones, etc.), the choice of the optimal location taking into account environmental constraints, the implementation of detailed economic calculations (investment specifications, funded profit, operating income, cash flows and balances) and other modules.
Each trainee was presented with a document confirming the completion of the training on the use of the windPRO software product upon a completion of the course.
The participants have appreciated the level of preparation of the event and expressed their gratitude to the organizers.
In the future, the project "Removing Barriers to Wind Power Development in Belarus" also plans to conduct similar training events, a relevant information of which will be posted at relevant official resources of the project.
